Watching reality pass you by
Reality telivision, as Chuck P. might put it, you become the camera behind the camera behind the camera. Which in the end probably makes the whole experience worth about Jack-0. How empty does ones life have to be to watch a television show about someone who used to be on television. Television was once a new invention, a wonder, then a status symbol. It became identified as a usefull educational tool. Finally, it became a new medium for artists to express their creations upon. Now it fills a void within the lives of men and women everywhere with nothing to do, but wait for something to happen.
Anyway, below I put a link to an article about another sad pointless series. If this wasn't on television who would really care, and even with it on television who really cares? Some people will, but how does it affect their lives? Well, if they live through what they see on the idiot box, they will be losing a friend. A friend they never talked to, or met or even made eye contact with. If you are willing to get emotionally involved with a bunch of lights on a screen in your living room, why aren't you willing to get involved in the real world? Why aren't you willing to take a chance and get hurt by the things that you have come in contact with. Become your own reality and you might get a chance to save a poor little Danny that you know.
